Throughout the pandemic, we’ve focused on making sure everyone remains safe whilst still being able to carry out activities relating to the property market.

As government guidance on COVID-19 continues to change, we wanted to share an update on the safety measures Gracechurch will implement.

While the easing of restrictions means that some safety measures will no longer be a legal requirement, we’ve listened to customers and our colleagues, and we know a lot of people remain cautious. In line with the government advice to act carefully, we feel it’s important to continue with certain measures to be on the safe side.

Please keep wearing a face covering if you can.

Although the legal requirement to wear a face covering in England ends on 19 July, the government expects and recommends that people continue to wear a face covering in enclosed spaces. We have therefore made the decision as responsible estate and letting agents to continue having a mask wearing policy when visiting a client's home.

Many of our clients are rightly concerned, and some are vulnerable, so we are encouraging our client's to continue wearing face coverings whilst viewing a property, market appraisals, surveys and visiting our branch.

Hygiene and Safety measures

As before, we will continue to keep the following measures in place to minimise any risk:

• We operate on a strict Appointment Only basis for market appraisals, viewings and in-branch meetings.
• Clients should wash their hands with soap and water (or hand sanitiser if not available) prior to the viewing.
• Any agent from Gracechurch will not drive clients to appointments.
• We ask all parties viewing to refrain from opening internal doors and cupboards or use light switches inside the property. Please ask the Gracechurch Agent to do this for you if required.
